Pb logs high H1N1 death rate with 20% fatalities
Punjab has again recorded a high death rate among swine flu (H1N1) cases in the first couple of months of 2023, continuing the previous year’s unwanted high fatality rate trend. So far, 20.69% of the infected individuals are suspected to have died of this viral infection. The Punjab health department data, between January 1 to March 2 this year, showed that a total of 29 cases of swine flu were reported and of these, six infected persons are suspected to have died of the illness. All the deceased had underlying health conditions.
