Karnataka: Ahead of polls, authorities prepare for Covid surge

Even as authorities are preparing to conduct free and fair assembly elections, the threat of Covid-19 variants lingers in some districts of the state. While there were 39 active Covid-19 cases in Kittur Karnataka on March 28, the number rose to 51 by March 29.
