Excise duty revised in Karnataka, breweries to begin supply of liquor soon
The three-month shortage of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) in retail outlets caused by the government’s revision of excise duty rates is expected to end soon. Breweries halted production due to tax uncertainties, but new rates have been released. Liquor vendors believe supply will normalize in a few weeks, though some brand prices may change.
