Punjab pollution control board slaps Rs 12 crore penalty on Bathinda unit

The Punjab Pollution Control Board imposed an Rs 11.88 crore environmental compensation on National Fertilizer Limited in Bathinda for violating hazardous waste management rules. The penalty follows the National Green Tribunal’s orders regarding NFL’s improper storage of carbon slurry.
