Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sohan Singh Thandal has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of Punjab’s November 13 bypolls. Thandal is expected to be the BJP candidate for the Chabbewal assembly seat. Thandal, a former minister, contested the 2024 Lok Sabha polls but was unsuccessful.
