Bengaluru: Residents pool money & material to fix 1-km of neglected highway
Residents of Chambenahalli and Sarjapur in Bengaluru have taken matters into their own hands to fix a deteriorating 1-kilometre stretch of state highway-35. Frustrated with the lack of official action, they pooled resources to make the road motorable using cement and gravel. Until authorities intervene with a permanent solution, the community plans to continue their efforts.
