Self-drive trip to Madikeri turns nightmare: Bengaluru students assaulted, extorted Rs 50,000 by rental agents
Five Bengaluru students on a trip to Madikeri found themselves in a terrifying situation after renting a car. The rental agency, accusing them of excessive speeding, held them hostage, demanding a hefty fine. Threatened and assaulted, the students were forced to pay Rs. 50,000 and surrender a laptop.
