Udupi district installs solar units in all primary health centres (PHCs)
Udupi district’s 60 primary health centers (PHCs) now have solar power, thanks to Manipal Technologies and SELCO Foundation. This initiative, lauded by officials, addresses power outage issues impacting healthcare services like vaccine storage. Udupi becomes the first district in Karnataka to achieve this feat solely through donor funding, aligning with India’s green energy goals.
