A 70-year-old Haryana man agreed to pay his estranged 73-year-old wife ₹3.07 crore as permanent alimony, ending their 18-year legal battle and 44-year marriage. The settlement, reached through mediation at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, involved the husband selling his agricultural land. The wife and children relinquish all future claims on the husband’s estate.
