HC junks govt’s ‘local’ tag for PG medical admissions in Telangana
The Telangana High Court overturned government orders restricting the ‘local’ candidate status for postgraduate medical admissions. The court affirmed that all MBBS, BAMS, and BHMS graduates from Telangana, regardless of their undergraduate quota, are eligible for local quota seats in state medical colleges, upholding the Presidential Order of 1974.
