A man from Andhra Pradesh was arrested in Mangaluru for impersonating a Lokayukta officer and attempting to extort money from Someshwara Town Municipal Council officials. He posed as ‘D. Prabhakar’ and contacted officials via WhatsApp, claiming complaints had been filed against them. The officials’ suspicions were raised, leading to the man’s arrest.
