A six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and killed by a 24-year-old man in Hoysala Nagar, Bengaluru. The perpetrator was caught and beaten by passersby before the police intervened. The police resorted to mild lathi-charge to disperse the mob and detained the accused. The girl’s parents are migrant workers.
