Free cervical cancer vaccination drive launched in Bengaluru for economically disadvantaged girls
In a bid to combat cervical cancer, 500 adolescent girls from economically weaker sections in Bengaluru were given free HPV vaccinations. Organized by Tekion and Jivika Foundation, the drive targets girls aged 9-14, aligning with WHO recommendations for cervical cancer prevention. The initiative will continue in multiple phases in Bengaluru and Chennai.
