A Suryapet court sentenced Nallagattu Lakshmaiah to 25 years in prison and fined him Rs 20,000 for raping a six-year-old girl in May 2023. The first Additional District Judge also awarded Rs 5 lakh compensation to the survivor. The case was based on the girl’s testimony and evidence, resulting in Lakshmaiah’s conviction.
