97% of iPhones sold in America are made in India:This year, phones worth Rs 37,000 crore were sent; Trump had said – make iPhones in America
Despite Trump’s threat, almost all iPhones sold in America are being made in India. According to a Reuters report, out of all the iPhones Apple exported from India between March and May 2025, 97% were sent to America. Their value was 3.2 billion dollars (27,000 crore rupees). From January to May 2025, iPhones worth 4.4 billion dollars (Rs 37 thousand crore) have been exported from India to America. This figure is even higher than the 3.7 billion exports of 2024. Until 2024, 50% of iPhones sold in America were made in India. I had a little trouble with Tim Cook yesterday. I told him, Tim, you are my friend, you are bringing in 500 billion dollars, but now I am hearing that you are doing production all over India. I don’t want you to do production in India. He further said that if you want to take care of India, you can manufacture in India, because India is one of the countries with the highest tariffs in the world.
