In the IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals (DC), Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered a loss by five wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The Royals are set to take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Ahead of the match against LSG, RR`s batting coach Vikram Rathour is optimistic about his team`s chances to qualify for the playoffs. He feels that if the players on his team play to their potential, they can emerge victorious against any team.
“We are planning to win every match. It`s not that we are waiting for the last two matches to win. Every game is important for us and we are trying to win,” he said during the post-match press conference.
“The situation is that we have to win both the games. Our belief is that if we are playing to our potential, we can defeat any team. That is the mindset. We need to turn up and play our best cricket,” added Rathour.
Currently, the Riyan Parag-led RR is placed in the sixth position with six wins and the same number of defeats. With a net run rate (NRR) of +0.027, the team also has 12 points. After concluding with the LSG`s clash, the Royals will lock horns with Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 24 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
