You need to behave: Wife Daria scolds Medvedev during defeat

[[{“value”:”

Russian World No. 6 Daniil Medvedev got into a couple of serious exchanges with wife Daria, who was seated along with his team, during his shock 6-2, 1-6, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 defeat to Australian wildcard Adam Walton in the first round of the French Open on Tuesday.

After looking off-colour in the opening set, Medvedev started complained about the heat after a while his wife shot back, saying: “It’s hot for everybody. Everybody is suffering. You need to behave.” Not one to back down, Medvedev instantly responded: “When I start finding the court, I’ll start to behave.”

A little while later, Medvedev expressed his irritation about a first serve from Walton which hit the line. “Can he stop serving on the line?” Medvedev said. Daria, who was closely watching the game, made another valid point. “He hadn’t hit a single first serve in this game before that,” she said.
