Women’s World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has not only taken up men’s 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic’s dancing challenge at the French Open, but has actually outperformed him.
After his second round win over Valentin Royer, Djokovic, 39, kicked off the fun challenge by doing Michael Jackson’s famous moonwalk to his Billie Jean track while coming down the stars at Roland Garros. The Serb then mocked Sabalenka, 28, saying, “Can’t beat that.”
The Belarusian ace responded with a brilliant impression of Jackson’s iconic track Thriller after her second round win over Elsa Jacquemot, and cheekily asked, “What’s next, Novak?”
Both clips went viral on social media with fans loving the friendly banter between the icons. However, Sabalenka’s moves seemed to please more eyes than Djokovic’s. “That’s clearly a second round win over Novak,” said former French player Caroline Garcia. Former World No. 1 Maria Sharapova also poked fun at Djokovic, saying: “A little… stiff.”
