The FIFA World Cup 2026 fever has kicked in across India. In Mumbai, Bandra`s Chapel Road has seen the first glimpse of it with a new mural to mark this edition, and it is none other than that of Lionel Messi.
In a lane that boasts of Indian Bollywood greats such as Helen and Asha Parekh, the Messi mural is on a striking red background that will definitely make it a showstopper for many fans of football, apart from Bandra locals, who have had a long history with the sport.
The mural was unveiled by none other than Indian football legend Bhaichung Bhutia, and actors Ibrahim Ali Khan and Ahaan Shetty.
Adorning the wall exactly opposite the bookshop Fluxus Chapel, the new addition is the result of Budweiser marking its 40-year association with FIFA.
