Three young men from Bengaluru drowned in the Hemavathi reservoir backwaters near Shettihalli Church in Hassan district on Sunday. The group of ten friends had stopped for a swim while returning from Dharmasthala. Preliminary investigations suggest the victims entered the water without knowing its depth and were unable to swim.
