Brazil is set to take on Scotland in the upcoming match of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The clash is scheduled to be played on June 25 at the Miami Stadium in Florida.

Ahead of the match, Brazil’s superstar Neymar shared images from his training session on his official social media handle. “Thank you, my God so incredibly happy!!,” read his post’s caption.

The post indicated that he is about to make his comeback from the calf injury, which forced him to miss out on two previous games.

Ahead of the clash against Scotland, Brazil’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti said that the 34-year-old footballer will be training with the team on Monday.

“Neymar will be training tomorrow individually and on Monday he’s going to be training with the rest of the team. He will be available for the match against Scotland,” he said.

If he plays in the clash against Scotland, it will then mark Neymar’s first appearance for Brazil since October 2023. Earlier, he sustained a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during the World Cup qualifier match against Uruguay.

The match against Scotland could also help him achieve a new milestone in international football. The tournament will be his fourth FIFA World Cup. Despite his injury struggles, he remained influential whenever available during qualifying, contributing two goals and three assists in four appearances.

With qualification for the knockout stages within reach, Brazil could receive a significant boost if their iconic No. 10 completes his recovery in time to face Scotland.

FIFA World Cup 2026: Semi-finals, third place play-off match, final’s dates and venues

The semi-final 1 of the ongoing global showpiece is scheduled to be played on July 15 at the Dallas Stadium in Texas. The semi-final 2 will be played on July 16 at the Atlanta Stadium in Georgia.

The third place play-off game will take place on July 19 at the Miami Stadium in Florida.

The title clash of the marquee event is scheduled to be played on July 20 at the New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford.
