Karnataka BJP drops Dharmasthala truth test, forms panel to find ‘betrayers’ who cross-voted
The BJP has abandoned its plan to have MLAs take an oath at Dharmasthala to identify alleged cross-voters in the legislative council polls. Senior party leaders advised against using a religious site for political purposes, deeming it a bad precedent. While both BJP candidates won, cross-voting has prompted an internal inquiry, with findings to be sent to central leadership.
