Now you can link and update your email ID in your Aadhaar for free using your mobile, without visiting an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. For this, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new service in the new Aadhaar app for 6 months starting from July 1. According to UIDAI’s notification, users will be able to update their email ID through the new Aadhaar app until December 31. The special thing is that within just two days of the digital service launch, more than 2.5 lakh people across the country have updated their email IDs through the app. How will the new service work? According to UIDAI, the process of updating Aadhaar through the app is quite simple. No document or physical visit is required for this. The entire process will be completed in a few minutes. If you haven’t already, you will need to download and set up the app. The new Aadhaar app is available on both Android and Apple iOS platforms. Benefit: Instant alerts will be received when the email ID is updated The biggest advantage of linking your email ID to Aadhaar is that when an authentication request is sent using your Aadhaar, you will immediately receive an alert via email. This will always let you know where and who is using your Aadhaar. This way, no one will be able to misuse your Aadhaar behind your back, and the risk of fraud will be eliminated.
