Karnataka governor suspends KPSC chief over daughters’ recruitment row
Karnataka governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot suspended KPSC chairperson Shivashankarappa S Sahukar on Monday. This action followed allegations of nepotism in his daughters’ appointments as officers. Union minister Pralhad Joshi had requested an impartial probe into the recruitment irregularities. The KPSC secretary’s report also flagged concerns regarding the selection process. The governor has now referred Sahukar’s impeachment to the President of India.
