Spotify I-Pop Icons Live returns for its second edition; here's the full lineup

Spotify I-Pop Icons Live is set to return for its second edition this August, bringing together five artists who have been taking over I-Pop in India, showcasing Indian pop music that is reshaping listening habits in India. The event will be held at Mehboob Studio in Bandra, on August 21, featuring performances by Anuv Jain, Harrdy Sandhu, Rashmeet Kaur, Paresh Pahuja, and Taaruk Raina.

Independent of films and not restricted to a single language, or even sound, I-Pop has seen listeners increasingly gravitate towards artist-first music – from artists such as Anuv Jain and Banjaare, to Navjot Ahuja and Sai Abhyankkar.

I-Pop Icons is the music streaming app’s flagship I-Pop playlist, and has reportedly amassed close to half a million followers in the two years since its launch. With sub-genres like I-Pop Party, I-Pop Mohabbat, I-Pop Chill and I-Pop Sad Feels as well as other hits and discovering new artists, Indian listeners are discovering a lot more music than before.

The first edition featured performances by King, Armaan Malik, Jonita, Aditya Rikhari, Kushagra, Hansika Pareek, and Sanju Rathod, and this year’s lineup takes it a step forward with new music.
