‘She died in my arms’: Father of 4-year-old begged Ghaziabad hospitals for treatment, but was refused
A four-year-old girl died after two hospitals refused her treatment following a sexual assault. Her father’s petition brought the case to the Supreme Court’s attention. The court criticized the hospitals’ indifferent and inhuman approach to the child’s suffering. Hospitals were asked to compensate the family, with a warning of significant costs. The Supreme Court also considered issuing guidelines for hospitals in rape cases.
