BJP leaders marched demanding minister B Nagendra’s resignation over alleged fund embezzlement. The protest targeted Rs 89 crore irregularities within the Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. These alleged irregularities came to light after a corporation official’s suicide in June 2024. Minister Nagendra resigned amid these allegations and was later arrested by the Enforcement Directorate. The BJP stated their agitation would continue until the minister finally resigns.
