A year after its first race, Nike After Dark Tour Mumbai is set to return to the city on December 12, giving women of all backgrounds and abilities the chance to be part of an immersive global running experiences, as more take up the activity across the city and India.
The Mumbai stop will feature a 10,000 metre race, welcoming women to step onto the starting line together for an evening built around sport, confidence, culture and community, and enjoy running. With race registrations moving quickly across the global tour, runners are encouraged to prepare early, bring together their friends for registrations, which are now live.
Encouraging women to run
The Nike After Dark Tour is a global race series built for women, bringing together sport, self-expression and the energy of running after the sun goes down. In 2026, the series spans seven major cities around the world, including Shanghai, Sydney, Mexico City, London, Los Angeles, Manila and Mumbai. Now in its second year, the concept builds on the sports apparel company’s history of supporting women runners around the world. The inaugural tour drew more than 50,000 women across seven races on five continents, with one in three participants racing for the first time. The Mumbai race continues that momentum, creating a dedicated space for women to run, connect and celebrate what they are capable of.
“Nike After Dark Tour last year was about so much more than crossing a finish line. It created a sense of community, where women showed up for themselves and each other, pushing boundaries, building connections, and inspiring one another every step of the way and enjoy running. Being a part of that collective energy firsthand was incredibly powerful, and I’m excited to see even more women lace up, take that first step, and experience the confidence, connection, and sense of belonging that make this community so special,” said Sahirah Oshidar, Nike After Dark Tour Global ambassador and founder of On Tour Club.
The experience begins long before race night. In the weeks leading up to the race, the sports apparel company will host guided training sessions led by their in-house coaches, and curated pre-race community experiences designed to make the journey to the starting line both fun and rewarding. Together, these experiences will help participants prepare for race day, build confidence and connect with the broader running community.
The run will be a curared experience with celebrations and a finisher medal, designed to be worn as a necklace, bracelet, keychain loop or belt chain. Across the tour, runners will also experience the sport apparel company’s latest running, training and sportswear innovations.
“The inaugural Nike After Dark Tour in 2025 showed the incredible appetite for women’s running in India and we’re excited to bring the tour back to Mumbai and welcome even more women to the starting line this year,” said Tarundeep Singh, general manager, Nike India. “Whether they’re taking on their first 10K, chasing a new personal best, or sharing the experience with friends, Nike After Dark Tour is about giving women the confidence, support and inspiration to discover what’s possible when they challenge themselves to go further together.”
