Pune rapper Yung Dsa releases new bilingual single ‘Fachadi’

After going viral in 2024 for ‘Yeda Yung’, Yerwada-based rapper Yung Dsa quit his day job to pursue music full time. Now, the Pune-based rapper shifts from overnight star to introspective storyteller with the release of ‘Fachadi’. 

Following a prolific run of singles including ‘Chala Kalti’ and ‘Rade Rapate,’ ‘Fachadi’ represents a major creative pivot for Yung DSA. Rapped in a razor-sharp blend of Hindi, Marathi and raw street slang, the track tackles the psychological toll of snitching and the disintegration of trust when success enters the picture. The title of the new track itself evokes the precise, painful moment a close ally turns envious.

Musically, Yung DSA continues to pioneer a distinct sonic identity by fusing Indian classical instrumentation with the grit of contemporary street rap. While ‘Yeda Yung’ leaned heavily into sitar textures, ‘Fachadi’ builds an unsettling, atmospheric landscape around an intricate tabla arrangement and a haunting flute loop. The production is designed to be cinematic and visceral, evoking a sense of paranoia and isolation even without the visual aid of a music video.

Tamil musicians Yasin And Tenma drop satirical hip-hop song ‘Dei Thambi’

DIVINE’s independent hip-hop label Gully Gang Entertainment has officially released ‘Dei Thambi’, a fierce and humorous new Tamil hip-hop single from Chennai rapper Yasin, produced by the legendary independent trailblazer Tenma.

Born out of a desire to hold a friend accountable, ‘Dei Thambi’ (meaning Hey Little Brother) is a sharp call-out record addressing toxic behaviour, infidelity and disrespect toward women. Instead of leaning into a preachy lecture, Yasin brilliantly uses biting Chennai slang, satire and humour to deliver an intense message. The high-energy track is further elevated by an unexpected, infectious Spanish refrain running through the hook.

The single marks a major cross-regional milestone, bringing Chennai’s vibrant independent hip-hop ecosystem into the Gully Gang fold through a strategic collaboration with Tenma’s label, Mothertongue Music.

Yasin Sherif is an emerging rapper, lyricist, and performer from Chennai. Raised in a working-class family, he documents his world through a multilingual lens, writing in Tamil, English and Hindi. His music seamlessly finds humour in hardship, blending sharp satire and personal storytelling to reflect on relationships, ambition, and the contradictions of everyday
life in Chennai.

Tenma (Tiburtius Vinodh Rubin) is an iconic artist, producer, and cultural catalyst from Chennai. He first broke barriers in Tamil independent music with his indie band Kurangan, later co-founding The Casteless Collective—a revolutionary, anti-caste musical movement.  His critically acclaimed film composition work includes Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu
and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu. He currently runs the pan-genre label Mothertongue Music and the educational platform 10ma’s Producer Circle.

Indian-origin pop artist Celina Sharma unveils new EP ‘Chapter 2′

International singer-songwriter Celina Sharma has unveiled her highly anticipated second 5-track EP, ‘Chapter 2’, trading her early youthful pop sound for a sophisticated, ballad-driven direction that highlights her raw vocal power and vulnerable storytelling.

It is the first release under a strategic partnership between ERA Music and the premier US media company gamma, founded by Larry Jackson. Known for its powerhouse roster including Kayne West, Usher, Snoop Dogg and French Montana, gamma. made its historic first expansion into the Indian subcontinent by backing Sharma’s recent hit collaboration with Sonu Nigam. The EP has an interesting lineup of global contributors, including co-writer and producer Eddie Lopes, alongside Grammy-winning songwriter Will Gittens and acclaimed co-writer Daniel Breland, who collectively helped shape the EP’s sound.

The core of the EP traces an emotional trajectory that began when Sharma left her familiar world behind at just 16 years old, moving from Australia to London alone to pursue her musical ambitions. Across five introspective tracks, she embraces the realities behind the dream—confronting loneliness, sacrifice, resilience and identity.

The tracks are ‘24 Hours Away’, ‘Centre of Peace’, ‘Dear Mama’, ‘I Made This Song For You’ and ‘Another Life’. 

Badshah debuts with Marathi hip hop with the release of ‘Chimna’

Badshah has released his first-ever Marathi hip-hop record, ‘Chimna’. The track delivers a high-octane celebration of culture and community, engineered to bridge cross-generational demographics by seamlessly reimagining traditional Marathi folk textures into a fresh, contemporary global

The accompanying music video was filmed entirely on location in the heart of Maharashtra- Kolhapur, capturing the vivid pulse of local everyday life—from bustling wedding processions to street-level daily wage earners and the gritty spectacle of mud wrestlers training in a traditional akhada. Elevating the video’s star power, Marathi actress Neha Khan makes a high-energy feature appearance.

It enlists Bollywood playback mainstay Divya Kumar alongside renowned Marathi folk icon Nagesh Morwekar. Backed by a dynamic musical ensemble and steered by hit-making producer Hiten.

The song cleverly intertwines traditional folk poetry with explosive hip-hop bars. The track opens with the classic rural hookline, ‘ek chimna chiv chivla / majha sajan jaga zhala ho / surya ugavla’ (A sparrow chirped, my beloved woke up, the sun has risen). Badshah then seamlessly blends it into explosive hip-hop bars packed with localised flavour, dropping verses like ‘dance kar rahi dekho maushi maushi /nacho jab tak subah chidiya bole’. Proudly claiming his new regional identity and making his stamp on the space official, Badshah brings the track to a climax by signing off with a direct nod to his local fans: ‘tumcha mulga badshah’ (Your boy Badshah).

Harrdy Sandhu releases romantic new single ‘Stuck On You’

Harrdy Sandhu returns with ‘Stuck On You’, his latest Punjabi-pop release, and the first song to be a part of Universal Music India’s ‘Hear it first’ initiative. 

‘Stuck On You’ brings Harrdy back to the romantic-pop space he has explored across his catalogue, pairing his instantly recognisable vocals with a contemporary pop production. The track has been composed and produced by Bharath, with Samad Khan, Kunwar Mehra, Rohit Pandey and Rohit Singh Bhau as co-composers and co-lyricists.

In 2026, he featured on ‘VALLAH’ from ‘Cocktail 2’ and ‘WOW’ from ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. Over time, his biggest tracks include ‘Bijlee Bijlee’, ‘Kya Baat Ay’, ‘Backbone’, ‘Naah’ and ‘Hornn Blow’.
