PIO facing $600k fraud charge in US nabbed in Punjab

In a significant operation, Punjab Police captured Manjit Singh Bedi in Jalandhar on Friday. He was on the FBI’s radar for reportedly cheating the US government of $600,000. Bedi allegedly turned benefits from a US welfare scheme into cash at his grocery store before fleeing to India, having breached his supervision terms in the US.
