After The Chainsmokers and Sebastian Ingrosso as its first two headliners, Sunburn Festival 2026 adds another global heavyweight to its line-up with DJ Snake set to be the third headliner to perform in Mumbai.
One of the most recognisable names in electronic music, the French producer and hitmaker will take over Mumbai’s iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse during the two-day festival on December 18 and 19.
As part of his India tour, the electronic music icon will also bring his high-energy sound to Bengaluru on December 18, with a Sunburn Arena show. The performance comes months after DJ Snake cancelled his India tour in January.
DJ Snake returns to India
Over the years, DJ Snake has cemented his position as a defining force in contemporary electronic music, with a career spanning genre-crossing collaborations and chart-topping global hits. His celebrated discography includes ‘Lean On’, ‘Turn Down for What’, ‘Let Me Love You’, ‘Taki Taki’ and ‘Loco Contigo’, among others. His distinctive production style draws from electronic, hip-hop, pop and global sounds, helping him transcend genres and connect with audiences across the world with high-energy sets.
With multiple performances in India already under his belt, DJ Snake has built a strong and deeply engaged fanbase in the country. His previous appearances have seen packed venues and his return to India for Sunburn Festival 2026 aims to be no different, especially because of his connect with Mumbai, where he has also shot a part of the song ‘Lean On’ (2015) in Vasai, and returned to shoot ‘Magenta Riddim’ (2018) in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana.
Ahead of his India tour, DJ Snake said, “India always brings incredible energy and I’m really looking forward to returning here. I can’t wait to get back on that stage and celebrate with everyone.”
Commenting on the announcement, Karan Singh, CEO, Sunburn, said, “DJ Snake has always shared a special connection with Indian audiences and his multiple visits to the country over the years are a testament to that enduring bond. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to India and bring him to Mumbai as part of Sunburn Festival 2026, giving fans an opportunity to experience one of the world’s most celebrated electronic artists on an even bigger stage. With The Chainsmokers, Sebastian Ingrosso and now DJ Snake, this edition brings together artists who have each shaped the global dance music landscape in their own way. DJ Snake will also be taking the Sunburn Arena stage in Bengaluru as part of his India tour and we look forward to welcoming fans from across India for an unforgettable edition of Sunburn Festival.”
After moving the venue of the iconic electronic music festival from Goa to Mumbai in 2025, Sunburn Festival has also changed the venue of the festival to the Mahalaxmi Racecourse for the 2026 edition.
