After six years of evading justice, a life-term convict has been rearrested due to a counterfeit Supreme Court release order. The elaborate forgery was revealed by a whistleblower, who highlighted the role of a corrupt prison assistant in the deceit. Shankar A, sentenced for kidnapping and murder back in 2004, had been living freely in Mysuru until anonymous letters raised suspicions.
