Brace for water, electricity crunch as Karnataka drought deepens: CM DK Shivakumar
Karnataka’s Chief Minister warned of severe water and electricity shortages ahead. Over 200 taluks are experiencing drought, with more likely to be declared. Groundwater levels have fallen sharply, and crops have suffered extensive damage. September rainfall has been significantly deficient, showing an 81% deficit. The state has faced insufficient rainfall every month since June.
