‘Prisoner No. 626710 is Present’: CBFC flags Umar Khalid film screening at IIIT-Hyderabad
The Central Board of Film Certification raised concerns about a planned documentary screening at IIIT-Hyderabad, pointing out violations of the Cinematograph Act. Consequently, students chose to halt the showing of this uncertified film. IIIT-Hyderabad dissociated itself from the event, clarifying that it was not an organizer. Similarly, an intended screening at NLSIU Bengaluru faced postponement due to opposition from ABVP.
