Movie was scheduled for 10.35pm, started at 10.52pm after 22 mins of ads: Hyderabad advocate takes PVR to consumer court, wins Rs 75,000
A Hyderabad advocate experienced a significant delay when commercial advertisements postponed the start of a movie. He reached home an hour later than expected due to this disruption. The theatre company defended its advertising practices, arguing they were part of its business. However, the consumer commission ruled against them for unfair trade practices. The commission ordered the theatre to compensate the advocate and stop the excessive advertisements.
