You can access ‘X’ and ‘Grok AI’ under single membership:Elon Musk combines all four plans, from Plus to Ultra; check prices for Indian users
Imagine paying for one subscription to access premium social media features, an AI chatbot, and coding tools. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has introduced X Subscription, bringing X, Grok AI, and Cursor under a single membership. The new plans start at $8 (around ₹767) per month, with higher-priced options offering advanced AI features, access to newer models, and additional coding tools. The move aims to simplify subscriptions for users who rely on multiple services. X subscription plans and features The new subscription lineup includes four plans: Plus, Premium, Super, and Ultra. Each offers different features depending on users’ needs. 1. Plus Plan: $8 per month The entry-level plan combines X’s premium features with access to Grok and Cursor. It includes Grok’s chat, voice, and image tools, access to the Grok API, AI-powered app-building tools, an X verification checkmark, fewer advertisements, and creator features. 2. Premium Plan: $30 per month This plan offers access to newer Grok AI models, faster responses, AI image and video generation, and Grok Bot features. Cursor users also get additional tools, including code hosting, cloud agents and automations. 3. Super Plan: $100 per month The Super plan offers priority access to Grok models during busy periods. It is designed for users who regularly depend on AI tools and want more reliable access. 4. Ultra Plan: $200 per month The top-tier plan offers early access to new products and AI models. It is aimed at users who want to explore new features and advanced AI capabilities. Note: Prices in Indian rupees are approximate conversions. Actual Indian prices may vary depending on taxes, exchange rates, and local availability. How were X and Grok subscriptions priced earlier? Previously, X and Grok had separate subscription plans. X offered Basic at $3 per month, Premium at $8, and Premium+ at $40. Grok had a free option, SuperGrok at $30, SuperGrok Plus at $100, and SuperGrok Heavy at $300 per month. With the new subscription structure, SpaceX aims to bring these services together, making it easier for users to access multiple products through one membership. However, whether the bundle saves money depends on the plans and features a user needs. Why has SpaceX combined X, Grok and Cursor? The move brings social media, AI assistance and coding tools together under one subscription. It could encourage existing X subscribers to try Grok and Cursor while giving developers access to AI-powered coding features. The company is also targeting businesses, with Premium, Super and Ultra plans expected to be available for teams. Enterprise customers can opt for customised plans. What does this mean for Indian users? The subscription could benefit Indian developers, content creators and professionals who regularly use AI tools. However, affordability remains an important consideration. At approximately ₹767 per month, the entry-level plan may appeal to users who need several services. The higher-priced plans could be expensive for people who only need basic AI assistance.
