Will 'Men in Blue' be able to crush West Indies' 'Hope' of clinching the series?

Team India is set to take on the West Indies in the fifth T20I match on October 17 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Considering that the ongoing five-match T20I series is tied at 2-2, the fifth match promises to be a high-thriller and a competitive game.

Ahead of the match, the one big obstacle that is standing in the path of the “Men in Blue” is the West Indies’ skipper Shai Hope. The right-handed batsman has been in his form of life and will look to continue riding on the momentum.

So far, he has smashed four centuries in the ongoing tour against Team India across the ODI and T20I series.

In the previous T20I match, he smashed an unbeaten 102 runs off just 50 deliveries. His knock was laced with four boundaries and nine maximums. Considering his form, the visitors have been hoping for a miracle to win the series.

Will the Shreyas Iyer-led men be able to crush West Indies’ ‘Hope’ of clinching the series? Although the Indian team has the likes of several match-winners such as Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, the visitors’ skipper has been making it difficult for the hosts to cruise to the series title.

It will be interesting to see if Hope manages to deliver a big knock, following a successful outing in Hyderabad. The 32-year-old cricketer will enter the series-deciding clash in Bengaluru on the back of a stunning century and hunger to win the shortest format series against one of the top teams in the world.
