Happy Birthday, Kamal Haasan. The superstar turns 70. Can you believe it? At least, we can’t. On the special day, the actor got a sweet message from his daughter, actress Shruti Haasan. She has shared a monochrome picture with her father on Instagram. Here, the two are standing inside a gym with their back facing the camera. Shruti has also written a heartwarming note for her “appa”. It read, “Happy birthday appa. You’re a rare gem and walking by your side is one of my favourite things to do in life. I know you don’t believe in god, but you’ll always be his / her chosen child and I’m always so excited. To see all the magical things you do. To many many more birthdays and celebrating many more dreams come to life. Love you so much Pa.”
Back in June, Shruti Haasan paid a special tribute to her father at the audio launch event of his film Indian 2. The actress shared glimpses of her performance on Instagram and wrote, “What a night. I was so honoured to perform a tribute to Kamal Haasan, my dear Appa at the massive Indian 2 audio launch! Always happy to see him smile when I sing because so much of why I am the musician I am today is because of him.” Shruti also thanked her “talented” band members for their hard work and added, “A giant shout out to my incredibly talented band that worked tirelessly for us to put together this newly produced set of songs honouring some of dad’s incredible musical history in cinema. Thank you.”
On the work front, Shruti Haasan was last seen in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire alongside Prabhas. Next, she has Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. The film features Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna and Soubin Shahir.
