175 km new Bengaluru Metro lines to be added by 2026: Karnataka deputy CM DK Shivakumar

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced a 175 km expansion of Bengaluru’s metro network by 2026. The expansion includes a 3 km extension from Nagasandra to Madavara, opening experimentally today. Shivakumar highlighted plans for pedestrian walkways and underpasses to improve connectivity. He thanked stakeholders and emphasized the metro’s role in supporting Bengaluru’s residents.
