Bengaluru commuters shift to QR payments amid fare hike, yet hurdles remain

Due to a recent fare hike, BMTC introduced UPI-based QR code payments across all buses to address change issues. However, passengers still face difficulties locating QR codes during rush hours, and not all buses currently support the system. Plans are underway to integrate QR codes into ticket machines by March.
