Over 32 yrs after man fought off ultras, HC asks Pb to award him
Over 32 years after a resident of Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran district in Punjab had bravely fought off terrorists who attacked his village during militancy in 1989-90, the Punjab and Haryana high court has asked the Punjab government to consider him for a state-level award for bravery. The HC, however, clarified that in case no award is granted, a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh shall be paid.
