VoIP calls, cyber centre, Rs 80 charge: Inside Karnataka’s Aland constituency vote deletion row; requests to remove 6,994 votes
An SIT is investigating alleged voter deletion scam in Aland constituency, identifying six suspects and evidence of names being removed from the voters’ list. Operators at a local cyber center were reportedly paid Rs 80 per application to delete over 6,000 votes, primarily targeting Dalit and minority voters.
