This restaurant in South Mumbai’s Fort launches its new seasonal menu
Woven playfully into the fabric of Mumbai’s dining landscape, Plural’s menu reflects a contemporary approach, blending traditional recipes with innovative cooking techniques. Located in South Mumbai’s Fort area, Plural practices vibrant culinary traditions of Vietnam and broader Southeast Asia, inspired by a deep appreciation for the diverse flavours.
Plural’s ethos extends beyond the plate. Embracing a locavore, vegetable-forward, and vegan-friendly philosophy, the restaurant prioritises regional farmers and purveyors. A commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness is evident, from thoughtfully designed interiors to eco-friendly packaging. The kitchen operates on a continuous quest to find ways of minimising waste in aid of improving efficiency.
Plural`s new menu is a mix of Southeast Asian flavours, showcasing an array of delectable offerings that promise to tantalise taste buds. Indulge in the soul-warming Miso Teriyaki Soup, featuring King Chilli Miso, Mushroom Broth, Shimeji, and Shiitake.
Revel in the wholesome goodness of the Ancient Grain Salad, a blend of Barley, Quinoa, and Ragi, with Apricot Vinaigrette, Mixed Nuts and Fresh Herbs. For a burst of fiery excitement, savour the Firecracker Asian Veg, a medley of greens, or a platter of all-new Dimsums served with addictive dips.
The Basil Tofu Filo Wrap, a delightful fusion of Mixed Greens, Orange Vanilla Vinaigrette, Miso Date Jam, and Bird Eye Chili, promises to be the perfect accompaniment to one of their signature cocktails or craft beers on tap.
Lastly, the decadent Hazelnut Praline Bar with Jaggery Ice Cream is the perfect finale taking you to flavor town.
Vedant, the visionary behind Plural, has infused his love for food and travel into the essence of the restaurant. He says, “Plural’s cultural underpinning is community – a space without frills, where diverse guests can engage thoughtfully with each other and their neighbours over a shared love of food. Our name reflects our commitment to inclusivity and the phenomenal experience we strive to provide.”
With little if any background in the industry and a move back to India during a testing time, Vedant nevertheless took the leap of faith during the pandemic. Two years in, his commitment to authenticity and dedication to creating a unique dining experience has worked in the favour of all of those Mumbaikars who love to relish a good, wholesome meal.
