Apple is reportedly planning to launch a new affordable iPhone model, likely called the iPhone 17e, as early as next month. The device is expected to be part of Apple’s budget-friendly lineup but could still pack the latest A19 chipset, the same processor used in the flagship iPhone 17 series. Despite increasing costs of RAM and storage components, Apple is said to be considering a price of around $599, which roughly translates to ₹50,000. Google’s upcoming Pixel 10a is not expected to bring major upgrades, while Samsung appears to be focusing mainly on high-end, expensive smartphones. This gap presents an opportunity for Apple to strengthen its presence in emerging markets like India, where demand for powerful yet relatively affordable smartphones is growing. By offering a device with a flagship-level chipset at a lower price point, Apple is aiming to attract new users without compromising on performance.
