In Karnataka’s Gadag, 300 women pool Rs 17L from Gruhalakshmi to revive temple work
In Gadag’s Timmapur village, 300 women have pooled Rs 17 lakh from their Gruhalakshmi benefits to revive the stalled Rs 1-crore Renuka Yellamma temple. Following a seer’s appeal, 850 women pledged a month’s allowance. This initiative, aimed at economic empowerment, is expected to complete the temple in five months, potentially boosting local pilgrimage and tourism.
