Apple launches its cheapest laptop MacBook Neo:With ₹69,990 starting price, sales kick-off March 11; pre-bookings open

Tech giant Apple has launched its most affordable laptop ‘MacBook Neo’ to date. The company has introduced it for users who want to experience MacBook on a lower budget. Its starting price in India is set at Rs 69,990. Laptop will come with iPhone chip MacBook Neo comes with A18 Pro chipset. It comes with 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. It also has a 16-core Neural Engine (NPU) which quickly processes Artificial Intelligence (AI) tasks. This chip was found in iPhone 16 Pro. Apple claims that despite having a smartphone chipset, this laptop can easily handle browsing, video streaming, photo editing and daily office work. 13-inch screen and four colors In terms of design, it looks quite similar to the MacBook Air. It features a 13-inch Liquid Retina (IPS LCD) display. It is made with a durable aluminum enclosure and will be available in four colors – Blush, Indigo, Silver and Citrus. Battery Life and Storage Options According to Apple, MacBook Neo provides 16 hours of video playback time on a full charge. It has a 36.5Wh battery. It can be charged using the 20W USB-C power adapter included in the box. Connectivity and External Display Support It has one USB 3 Type-C port that also functions as a display port. Additionally, it has a second USB 2 Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It can support one external 4K display at 60Hz refresh rate. Price and Availability MacBook Neo’s starting price in India is Rs 69,990. Pre-orders have begun on Apple’s website. Sales will start from March 11. It will run on the latest macOS. For video calls, it features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and dual speakers with spatial audio support. Who is this laptop for? For Students: It’s best for studying, projects and online classes.
