A 27-year-old man, husband of a local sarpanch, has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl. The incident occurred on February 23 while the girl’s daily wager parents were at work. The accused reportedly entered the house under the guise of counselling the minor, who had dropped out of college.
