Mondo Classic: Duplantis breaks record for 15th time with 6.31m vault

Armand Duplantis broke the pole vault world record on Thursday for the 15th time at the Mondo Classic here, clearing 6.31m on his first attempt, breaking his previous record by 1 cm.
Duplantis, 26, only took four vaults at the indoor event. After clearing 5.65m, 5.90m and 6.08m, he asked for the bar to be lifted 23cm to a world-record height.
He immediately soared over to end his evening’s work. Duplantis has broken the record by 1 cm on each of his last 15 occasions.
