A Bengaluru software engineer was defrauded of Rs 18.7 lakh by a woman he met on a dating app. Initially building trust with promises of a serious relationship and financial support, she lured him into online trading. Despite early profits, he was eventually unable to withdraw funds, leading to his realization of the scam.
