Govt buildings in Bengaluru among biggest defaulters, owe Rs 473cr in service tax

Government buildings in Bengaluru owe a staggering Rs 472.7 crore in unpaid service tax, sparking outrage over selective tax enforcement. Prominent structures like Vidhana Soudha and Raj Bhavan alone have pending dues of Rs 14.9 crore since 2008-09. Authorities are now examining the issue, with calls for strict action against these major defaulters, mirroring measures taken against ordinary citizens.
